1. What is my start up cost?

The one-time $69 activation fee applies to all packages.  With the Pink Package, there is a $5 S&H charge for the manual imprinter and pack of 100 receipts ($40 value).  If you choose to purchase a terminal with either the Platinum or the Gold Packages, your initial costs would include the cost of the terminal + tax and S&H.  Our low-cost lease-to-own options for the Platinum and the Gold Packages have NO additional up front cost. 

2. How long before I can accept credit cards?

It usually takes 3-5 business days to get set up.  Our process includes running a standard credit check; contacting Cookie Lee to verify that you are a consultant; contacting your bank to verify the information that you give us is correct; building a system specifically for your business; connecting you to our credit card processing system; connecting you to VISA and MasterCard (and American Express and Discover if you choose to accept them); then making sure that all your transactions will be automatically deposited into your own checking account within 2-3 business days. 

3. Why do you need to run a credit check on me if I’m the one accepting credit cards?

A lot of people don’t realize that a merchant account is basically an unsecured line of credit.  You not only have the power to accept credit cards, you can also credit other people’s credit cards, or use your own credit card to get a cash advance (since all your transactions go directly into your own checking account).  This is a high source of fraud in small businesses in the U.S. today. 

4. What if I have poor credit or have had a bankruptcy?

Because you are a Cookie Lee consultant, you are GUARANTEED to be approved to accept VISA and MasterCard, even if you have poor credit or have had a recent bankruptcy. 

5. What credit cards can I accept? 

You are pre-approved to accept VISA and MasterCard.  With your permission, we can submit your information to American Express and Discover.  They have separate approval processes and they will contact you directly to let you know whether or not you have been approved, and what your specific rates and terms will be.

6. Can more than one person use this account?  Can I let my consultants use it?

Because the merchant account is opened on your credit, you are the only authorized user, unless you have employees.  Any activity is your legal responsibility.

7. What if I have a credit card machine?  Can I use it?

We can reprogram your credit card machine for a $45 reprogramming fee.  If it’s a plug-in terminal, the Platinum Package rates apply; if it’s wireless, then the Gold Package rates apply.

8. What are the advantages of going with Bankcard Liberty vs. another credit card processor?
